Man Without Chest

The intellectual that triumphs
The animalistic;
A chest I yearn for
Or I’d rather live without one.

If the intellectual triumphs
I would get over her.
No heart would sink;
No groaning in my sleep.

She read the poem and said,
“If you have to wear your heart
On your sleeve,
At least wear a nice shirt.”

I borrowed dendrite from a friend.
