I have changed my perspectives on many things over the years. Perhaps it’s symptomatic of an ongoing identity crisis. Be that as it may, I’m glad of one contrarian truth that I happen to hold passionately: The world would be a much better place if we policed pregnancies and childbearing.

Being a mother, or a father thereof, is not a simple primal matter of intercourse leading to childbirth…quite a cheap act, affordable even to birds and lizards, I’m compelled to add. Rather, biology finds its weight in morality where parenthood translates strictly to the ability to take care of the ones we bring to this world.
